1:00pm - 3:00pm
This workshop will combine energizing yoga, breath work, and meditation as well as a deep gong immersion for relaxation.
Most of us want to stop bad habits and start good habits. Why is it so difficult when we usually know exactly what it is we need to change? Because we focus on how to get rid of the unwanted habit without examining the root of it, the very maladaptive reason why it serves us.
This yogic tradition addresses the process of breaking a habit in a simple and effective way: through prescribed movements, breaths, and mediations. Through this practice, we can create nourishing and healthy habits that naturally help us replace the old, destructive ones. For a deeper change, we will utilize yoga therapy principles to re-organize our brains and thought processes. From the inside out, we will then begin to see our lives re-organized. Most importantly, we come together to support each other, to commit together, and to have fun!”
No previous yoga experience is necessary. Bring a yoga mat, a blanket, and an open mind.
